To take apart a Glock pistol you need to unload it safely and then remove the slide and barrel. First you need to move the gun in a safe direction and release the magazine. Open and lock the slide so you can check the room for any remaining ammo. Then you need to close the slide and shoot once in the safe direction to release the firing pin. Then open the slide slightly and pull down on both sides of the slide lock. Once the latch is engaged, you can slide the carriage forward to separate it from the gun. You also need to push the spring forward of the gun and pull out the barrel. Once these gun parts are removed, you can clean your Glock before reassembling it. The carriage can now be pushed forward and separated from the frame. We also pull out the sliding lock in the rest position.

Next, grab the recoil spring guide with the attractive spring and pull the barrel out of its position in the slide. The gun is now deployed.

With the right tool (a small diameter punch commonly known as a "Glock disassembly tool") you can push the firing pin forward thereby freeing the rear slide cover plate which goes on its guide and releases the firing pin and ejector holds. Pin them in place.

Once you have these two elements out you can go ahead and remove the extractor with its little spring and the little automatic firing pin safety.
